ThinkLink and Tennessee Standards

Predictive Assessment Series in Tennessee     [Back to State Listing]

ThinkLink's Predictive Assessment Series program correlates to the Tennessee Curriculum Learning Expectations and State Performance Indicators (those assessed with the state assessment). ThinkLink's Predictive Assessment Series program covers all multiple choice items formatted to TCAP for the content areas of reading, language arts, and mathematics.

Summary Information on Tennessee

Tennesee's TCAP (Tennessee Comprehension Assessment Program) currently uses the McGraw Hill ©Terra Nova in grades 3-8, with criterion-referenced items correlated to the Tennessee State Performance Indicators. The TCPA is also correlated to Tennessee's Learning Expectations and Accomplishments in the Blueprint.

This testing program is guided by the federal law, No Child Left Behind.

ThinkLink Solution for Tennessee

ThinkLink Learning, started by Vanderbilt University, has designed the Predictive Assessment Series to predict performance on Tennessee's current standardized test, Terra Nova. Over 400 Tennessee schools have used this program successfully. Of these schools, 64% experiencing gains in TCAP scores.

Grades 2 through 8

ThinkLink's test is exactly correlated to each Reporting Category and sub-category, grade by grade for grades 3-8.

ThinkLink's test and the TN CRT test are correlated to Learning Expectations and Accomplishments on the new TN Blueprint.
